During the night of 20th September 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck the Gazpromneft-Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district of Moscow, russian federation.

A large-scale fire was reported at the site. The AVT-6 primary crude oil distillation unit, the integrated crude oil processing unit and the isomerisation unit were hit.

ℹ️ Background. Gazpromneft-Moscow Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in the russian federation. It has an annual crude oil refining capacity of approximately 12 million tonnes. The facility processes crude oil and produces petrol, diesel and aviation fuel, fuel oil and other petroleum products.

The refinery is involved in meeting the needs of the russian armed forces.

Strikes against such facilities of the russian aggressor are an exercise of Ukraine’s inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter and are aimed at reducing the military and economic potential of the russian federation.

To be continued! 💥

Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦
